WORLDING

is a research and development incubator founded at the MIT Co-Creation Studio.

WORLDING brings place-based stories into light, weaving together immersive technology and community-centered design to create a new climate futures model. Founded in 2021, we offer workshop incubators for teams made of storytellers and placemakers using immersive 3D tech to engage communities on site-specific climate futures. The incubator lives in an emerging interdisciplinary field drawing on documentary, immersive and game engine technology, community-based design, land-use planning, data visualization, and climate science.
