Srushti (pronounced ‘srooshtea’) is a producer, writer and founder of Algae, an XR company. She recently graduated with a Masters of Science [S.M.] from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where her thesis on virtual production proposed an innovative lens on how game engine technology impacts the future of creative industries .

At MIT, she was a producer/co-creator @ Co-Creation Studio and researcher at the Open Documentary Lab, where she continues to collaborate. She also co-led civic media and metaverse reading groups. More recently, she received both the MISTI and PKG grants for graduates working on new ventures and companies.

Born in Mumbai, India, she was raised in Singapore before receiving the University of Oregon's ICSP Scholarship to pursue a B.A. in Journalism and History. She was a 2018 fellow at the Oxford Consortium for Human Rights and co-founded Majesty Digital, a media organization.
